The Land
This land has largely been untouched. It is home to many animals, plants, and trees. As we partner with this land to promote healing, it is healing for all- both humans and the forest and all that is in it.
An escape from the city
Purchased in 1967 by my grandparents, Charles and Bernice Shanklin, this land was intended to be a refuge from the city-life they were living at the time. He and my grandma would make the trip from Columbus with their 6 kids almost every weekend. This was a place for their kids to be wild and free, and man do they have some stories to prove it!
The slate bottom ravines are shallow and a fun way to hike the land!
The spring-fed pond is a 15-20 minute hike from the road.
Located 50 minutes west of Columbus in Logan County, our little corner of the world sits on a hill known as “Bristle Ridge”. There are trails through out the property and endless room to explore.
