At Hope Anew, we offer nature-based soul-care and self-care, depending on what area you want to focus on in your life.

Restorative Coaching

A space to come home to yourself.

Restorative Coaching is a gentle, empowering approach to personal growth—centered on the belief that you already carry the wisdom you need within you. This coaching process is about returning to alignment, restoring connection with your inner voice, and making space for what feels most true and life-giving.

With deep presence and grounded care, your coach, Jamie, brings together years of experience in social work, trauma-informed equine-assisted learning, and life coaching. She doesn’t offer quick fixes or prescribe advice—instead, she holds space with curiosity, asks thoughtful questions, and walks beside you as you rediscover your own clarity and direction.

Coaching vs. Counseling

While therapy helps move us from survival to baseline, coaching supports the journey from baseline to thriving. Though restorative coaching can certainly nourish your mental and emotional well-being, it is not clinical therapy, and doesn’t address specific mental health diagnoses. It is, however, a powerful complement to healing work—offering a steady, compassionate space for forward movement.

What we will NOT do…

  • Discuss your past in depth

  • Diagnose mental health issues

  • Spend the whole time time talking

What we WILL do…

  • Check in with how you come today

  • Practice skills such as breathing and mindfulness

  • Determine work for in between sessions

Life is not fully lived, my beloved, until you have freed your heart from hiding.
— Sarah Blondin, Heart Minded

Where and How We Meet

Session Rhythm + Setting Options

Restorative Coaching sessions are 1 hour long and are available on a rhythm that works best for you—whether that’s weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. The key is consistency, so you can build momentum and create meaningful space for your own reflection and growth.

Sessions can take place in our cozy indoor office for your convenience or when the weather isn’t ideal. That said, we encourage you to experience at least some of your sessions outdoors on the land in Zanesfield, OH. Nature offers a powerful mirror—and a quiet, grounding presence—for the work you’ll be doing.

Starting in the spring, we’ll also offer sessions at the barn, where horses may be integrated into the coaching experience (read more below). These equine sessions can deepen your awareness and help you connect in ways beyond words.

Is Restorative Coaching Right for You?

This work is ideal for adults of any gender who are:

  • Navigating career or life transitions

  • Feeling untethered or unsure of purpose

  • Seeking space for reflection, clarity, and growth

  • Carrying high levels of stress and needing to re-center

  • Longing to hear their own voice again

  • Grieving the loss of an identity, role, or way of life

  • In need of rhythm, rest, or renewal

Restorative Coaching isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution—but if you recognize yourself in any of the above or feel a resonance with what you’ve read, we invite you to schedule a session. Sometimes the first step is simply choosing to show up—and we’ll meet you there, just as you are.

Horses invite us to be our true selves with them, because anything other than authenticity will hinder the felt safety in the relationship.

Restorative Coaching with Horses

A relational, grounded, and embodied path to self-discovery.

Horses are wonderful partners in the coaching process. At Hope Anew, you have the choice to invite horses in your coaching session, and here are a few reasons why you may want to do that.

1. Connection. For many people, horses are easier to connect with than humans.

2. Honesty. Incapable of wearing masks, horses invite us to be the authentic too.

3. Experiential. Rather than sitting in an office, you’ll be out at the barn, engaging with another living being, as well as all of your senses.

The Natural Lifemanship model of equine-assisted learning is trauma-informed and based 100% on relationship. All sessions take place on the ground, where there is an equal opportunity for connection. Through building a relationship your equine parter, you will learn more about yourself and have the chance to practice new ways of being. Schedule your first session now!

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual Direction sessions create space for you to slow down and notice God in and around you. Your spiritual director, Matthew, will serve as a companion on your journey. You will be encouraged to respond to God’s invitation to a deeper intimate place.

Although these sessions can take place virtually, they are also available in person surrounded by forest in Zanesfield, OH. There is no expectation to be of a certain faith background, this space is for all who seek to expand awareness and attunement their spiritual lives.

We know the woods will welcome you exactly as you are, and we will too. Come curious, come open, come seeking.

Spiritual Direction can be especially supportive if you are:

  • In a season of deconstruction or questioning

  • Longing for deeper connection with the divine

  • Experiencing spiritual dryness or transition

  • Seeking to integrate faith and life in an authentic way

  • Desiring a space where your soul can breathe

You don’t need to arrive with a polished belief system or a clear agenda. You simply need to show up—and be willing to listen. Together, we’ll hold space for what wants to emerge.

Typically spiritual direction sessions happen on a monthly rhythm. Start your rhythm today.

Personal Retreats

Sometimes, the most meaningful step on the journey is to step away.

At Bristle Ridge Sanctuary, we offer a sacred space for personal retreats—quiet getaways designed to help you rest, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most. Tucked into over 100 acres of forested land in Zanesfield, OH, our handcrafted yurt cabins offer the perfect balance of cozy comfort and wild beauty.

Each yurt is uniquely nestled into the woods, offering solitude, silence, and the simple rhythm of nature. Wake up with the light pouring through the skylight dome. Spend your day journaling, wandering wooded trails, sitting by the fire, or resting deeply—free from hurry or noise.

These personal retreats are ideal if you’re:

  • In a season of transition or discernment

  • Needing rest from caregiving, work, or decision fatigue

  • Longing for uninterrupted space to create, write, or dream

  • Feeling spiritually dry or distant—and wanting to draw near again

  • Simply craving solitude and sacred quiet

You can shape your retreat in the way that serves you best—choose solitude, or pair your stay with a coaching session, spiritual direction, or equine-assisted experience.

This is a space for the weary, the creative, the curious, and the seeking.
